Handcrafted
Breads No Preservatives + All Natural Our bread contains only the finest ingredients available and is made from scratch daily. The flour is residue free and/or organic. Every loaf is shaped by hand allowing us to maintain a superior texture and the uniqueness of its shape. After many hours of proofing, it is baked in a hearth oven.
•Blue Cheese and Walnut- A French dough with blue cheese and toasted California walnuts hand folded inside. •Caramelized Onion and Walnut- Seasonal, Available on Thursdays •Ciabatta (Slipper Bread)- The house favorite! An Italian flat bread with a light, airy crumb and chewy crust. •French Baguette- A crusty, flavorful French bread. •Light Rye with Caraway- Available the last Sunday of the Month •Olive Ciabatta- An Italian flatbread with kalamata olives mixed throughout the loaf. •Parmesan Baguette- A crusty French bread filled with parmesan cheese •Sourdough- Made from a wild yeast starter. It is the crustiest of the breads and has a dense crumb. •Whole Wheat- A whole wheat bread made with organic wheat flour, organic wheatberries, flax seed, bran, and local honey.
The best way to store bread is in a bread box or to keep it in the paper bag with the top closed in the pantry. We do not recommend plastic, because it accelerates the staling process by giving mold and bacteria a more favorable environment in which to grow. Additionally, the flavor and crust deteriorates quickly in plastic. Refrigeration, also, accelerates the staling process. If you do not plan to use the bread within two days, freezing the bread is another solution. Our bread freezes very well. Just wrap the loaf or even half of it in plastic wrap. Freeze it up to two months. When needed, just take out the loaf to thaw for a few hours. To refresh the loaf, place it in the oven at 400 degrees for 5-10 minutes.
