Andrae's is located in the smallest incorporated city in California, Amador City. An untouched, small town along Historic Highway 49 that will take you back to the gold rush era. We are in the newest main street building designed by Jane, a well known bay area architect and student of Frank Lloyd Wright. It is the perfect addition to a town that never changes (trust me, I grew up here). We have been baking here for over eleven years.

All our products are made from scratch and baked fresh daily. We only use natural products that have no additives; when available, we use locally made or grown products. Our flour and grains are organic, too.

Andrae's specialty is handcrafted, hearth baked bread made the traditional way. Every loaf is shaped by hand allowing us to maintain a superior texture and the uniqueness of its shape. After many hours of fermentation, it is baked in a hearth oven. Along with our bread, we feature freshly baked pastries, tarts, cookies, and the popular Basque cake. Lunch items include sandwiches, quiche, and pizzas.

Andrae's has a vast selection of imported and domestic artisan cheeses. To compliment our cheese selection, we carry crackers, olives, and charcuterie. For those who love to cook, we have a gourmet product selection where you can pick up olive oil, jam, and honey. Andrae's serves locally roasted coffee and espresso, whole leaf teas, and nostalgic sodas.

Andrae's offers the best selection of specialty beer in the county. We carry local and other great California wines, too.

We have a second location in Jackson, Andrae's Cafe + Bakery. Besides bread and pastries, the cafe has many lunch options including taqueria fare.
